• Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, and can come in grey, blue, green, pink, brown and milky white colors. Agates are primarily formed within volcanic and metamorphic rocks. The ornamental use of agate dates back to Ancient Greece in assorted jewelry and in the seal stones of Greek warriors. Agate is also one of the most common materials used in the art of hardstone carving. 
• Jade is an ornamental mineral, mostly known for its green varieties, though it appears naturally in other colors as well, notably yellow and white. Jade can refer to either of two different silicate minerals: Nephrite (a silicate of calcium and magnesium in the amphibole group of minerals), or Jadeite (a silicate of sodium and aluminium in the pyroxene group of minerals).
